Athens, 6/9/2024: Aurora, with the mission of improving the quality of life of patients with blood diseases, is proud to announce its support as the title sponsor of the 5 km Night Run Marathon, which is a parallel event of the largest triathlon event PPC IRONMAN® 70.3® Marathon, Greece. The Night Run Marathon is renamed Aurora Night Run Marathon and will take place on October 18 in Nea Makri, Marathon Municipality.
The Aurora charity aims to completely cure leukemia and other blood diseases and works tirelessly to support patients and their families during this difficult time. Participating in the Aurora Night Run Marathon is an opportunity to celebrate life, show our strength as a community and join forces for a common cause: to turn the fight against blood diseases into a victory march.
From October 18 to 20, the organizer EY ZIN Greece and the Municipality of Marathon will host the exciting IRONMAN® 70.3® sports event in the legendary area of ??Marathon, where the most famous Road Race in the world was born. The event includes new, faster courses and many parallel events for the whole family, such as the Aurora Night Run Marathon, the IRONKIDS Marathon, and the fast triathlon 4:18:4 Marathon, offering an unforgettable experience for young and old. Aurora will be present throughout the organization with its own booth where it will provide information and informative material while those who wish to participate will be able to register as members.
The Aurora Night Run Marathon will start at sunset on Friday, October 18, starting from the Marina of Nea Makris (junction of Agios Konstantinos and Poseidonos Avenue) following the coastal road of Nea Makris to Zouberi.
The Aurora Night Run Marathon is open to everyone over the age of 16. Each participant will receive a finisher's medal, participation t-shirt and shoulder bag. The race will be timed.

Aurora was founded in June 2018, inspired by the need to improve the care needed by hematology patients, offer support to their families, and the desire to increase patient survival rates. The main objective of the association is to strengthen the specialized hematology medical centers in Greece and elsewhere and to contribute to the development of research in the field of hematology, steadily promoting the dialogue and exchange of views of the global university community.
