Living with blood cancer is a challenge. Fighting leukemia and other hematological diseases can lead patients as well as family and loved ones to loneliness and alienation. Studies show that more than 75% of patients report that their diagnosis has had a significant negative impact on their mental health. However, it seems that the majority do not receive any kind of professional psychological support and struggle on their own to manage the emotional effects of the disease and treatment.
AURORA responds to this need by providing psychological support to patients and their families, through free sessions with qualified psychologists experienced in dealing with people going through a life-threatening illness.
Our goal is to help patients and their loved ones by providing comprehensive information and support, to help them get through this emotionally difficult period where it is normal to have many emotional ups and downs, many questions and many difficult days…
